Walk into any Pakistani home and you will find at least one bottle of oil on the dressing table: sarson for the hair, badam for the kids, kalonji that nani swears by. Today, more people want something specific: rosemary for the scalp, castor for the lashes, tea tree for a dandruff-prone scalp. The big question is how to use essential oils without wasting them or upsetting your skin.
The trouble is choosing. Thirteen bottles can look the same, and the wrong oil used the wrong way can irritate your skin. This guide explains each of the 13 She’s Collection pure oils in plain words: what people use it for, whether it needs mixing, and how to use it safely at home.
Essential oils vs carrier oils: the one thing to know first
Not every oil in a dropper bottle works the same way. Essential oils such as rosemary, tea tree, peppermint and clove are strong and concentrated. They are used a few drops at a time, always mixed into another oil.
Carrier oils such as castor, argan, jojoba, avocado, black seed, flaxseed, grapeseed and vitamin E are gentle and can be used directly in small amounts. They also act as the “base” you mix strong oils into. Our Pain Relief Massage Oil is a blend, so handle it like a strong oil and dilute it too.
All 13 oils come in the same 30 ml amber glass dropper bottle under the She’s Collection label. You can browse them together in the Essential Oils collection.

- Dry, frizzy hair: argan oil or avocado oil on the lengths and ends.
- Scalp massage routine: a few drops of rosemary oil mixed into castor or jojoba. Our full routine is in Rosemary Oil for Hair Growth: How to Use It.
- Flaky, itchy scalp: diluted tea tree oil in your shampoo or carrier oil. See Tea Tree Oil for Dandruff and Pimples.
- Traditional hair oiling: kalonji oil on its own or mixed with castor. Read Kalonji Oil Benefits for Hair and Skin.

Which oil for skin and face?
For the face, lighter oils feel best in Pakistan’s humid summers. Jojoba oil and grapeseed oil feel light and absorb quickly. Heavier oils such as avocado and vitamin E suit dry winter skin, elbows, heels and cuticles.
Vitamin E oil is a handy night-time oil for dry patches and lips. If your skin is oily or pimple-prone, keep oils light and use tea tree only well diluted, as a spot application.
Which oil for eyelashes, aroma and massage?
Eyelashes and eyebrows
Castor oil is the classic choice, and its label calls it an “Eye Lashes Growth Enhancer”. Apply a tiny amount with a clean spoolie, never inside the eye. Our step-by-step method is in Castor Oil for Eyelashes, Eyebrows and Hair.
Aroma and freshness
Peppermint oil has a cool, refreshing smell that many people like on hot afternoons. A drop or two on a tissue or in a diffuser is enough. Clove oil gives a warm, spicy aroma that reminds most of us of a desi kitchen.
Massage after a long day
The Pain Relief Massage Oil is made for massaging tired muscles and joints, for comfort. Mix a few drops into a carrier oil and massage gently. For an injury, swelling or pain that does not go away, please see a doctor.
How to dilute strong oils safely
Strong oils (rosemary, tea tree, peppermint, clove and the pain relief blend) should never go on skin or scalp undiluted. A simple home rule:
- Scalp and body: about 2–3 drops of strong oil in one teaspoon of carrier oil (coconut, olive, argan or jojoba).
- Face: 1 drop in a teaspoon of carrier oil, and only on a small area.
- Patch test: put the mixed oil on your inner arm and wait 24 hours. If you see redness, itching or burning, do not use it.
- Keep away from eyes, do not swallow, and store out of reach of children.
- Clove oil: never put it undiluted on gums or teeth. For tooth pain, see a dentist.
Carrier oils like castor, argan, jojoba, avocado, black seed, flaxseed, grapeseed and vitamin E can be used directly in small amounts, but a patch test is still wise. Please ask your doctor before using any oil if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, diabetic, on medication, have a health condition, or want to use it on a child.

Frequently asked questions
Which essential oil is best for hair in Pakistan?
It depends on your hair. Argan suits dry, frizzy hair, castor suits ends and lashes, and rosemary (diluted in a carrier oil) is popular for scalp massage. Many people mix rosemary with castor or jojoba.
Can I put essential oils directly on my skin?
Not the strong ones. Rosemary, tea tree, peppermint, clove and the pain relief blend must be mixed into a carrier oil first. Carrier oils such as argan, jojoba and castor can be used directly in small amounts after a patch test.
Can I drink or eat these oils?
No. These 30 ml oils are for external use on hair and skin, or for aroma. Do not swallow them, and keep them away from children.
How long does a 30 ml bottle last?
Strong oils used a few drops at a time last a long while; carrier oils used for full hair oiling run out faster. Close the cap tightly and keep the bottle away from sunlight.
Is delivery free on these oils?
Yes. Delivery is free on orders of Rs 700 or more, and every oil qualifies. You can pay with Cash on Delivery anywhere in Pakistan.
