Tips for heat and sweat in Pakistan’s summer
From Karachi’s humidity to Lahore’s June heat, sweat can make any fragrance fade or turn sharp. These habits help.
- Start clean. Fragrance works best on freshly washed, dry skin. Spraying over old sweat only mixes the two smells.
- Use less, not more. In heat, scent rises faster. Two or three sprays of perfume, or one or two dabs of attar, are usually enough.
- Choose lighter scents for the day. Fresh, citrus and spicy-fresh fragrances feel easier in summer; save heavy oud for evenings and winter.
- Do not rub. Rubbing your wrists together breaks down the scent faster.
- Refresh, do not re-drench. Carry a body spray or a 6ml attar to refresh in the afternoon.
- Protect your bottles. Heat and sunlight damage fragrance, so never leave bottles in a parked car.
- Be careful with light clothes. Oils can mark delicate or light fabrics, so apply attar to skin and let it settle before dressing.
